Editorial policy
Vibrant Civic Review aims to make civic questions clearer without pretending that every issue has a tidy answer. We explain our standards for accuracy, independence, corrections and clearly labelled commercial material.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against suitable published material before publication and aim to distinguish fact, explanation and opinion. Civic arrangements can differ by place and change over time, so articles identify relevant limits rather than presenting a general explanation as a rule for every reader. We do not invent sources, examples or certainty.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for reader interest and clarity. A commercial relationship does not buy a favourable conclusion, a review or control over editorial coverage. Where a relationship could reasonably affect how a piece is read, we explain it plainly.
Corrections
Readers can use the Contact page to flag a possible error. We review specific claims and, when a correction is warranted, amend the relevant text and make the change clear to readers. We distinguish a factual correction from a disagreement about analysis or emphasis.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid placements and partner contributions are labelled so readers can tell them apart from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where that applies, the illustration is identified accordingly. Images are not presented as documentary evidence unless they are.
